TOWN OF HOOSICK NEW YORK

Rensselaer County has partnered with local organizations to provide "Grab-N-Go" meals to all children in the county, ages 18 and younger. The Grafton Community Library and the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center are two locations offering "Grab-N-Go" meals this summer. Registration is required. There is no financial information required. You will receive 7 days of free breakfasts and lunches for each child you register. Pick up days are Mondays and Thursdays at either location. Please scan the QR code on the flyers or use the links below to register. Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bags with you when you pick up your meals.

The Hoosick Falls Central School District still has PRE-K openings for the 2025-2026 school year! Are you a parent/guardian residing in the Hoosick Falls Central School District? Do you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2025? Contact Erin Springer in the elementary office to start the registration process: (518) 686 - 9492 x 1300
Call the elementary office to get a registration packet. Complete your packet and then call the office to schedule an appointment. Come to your appointment prepared with your completed registration packet and required documentation (medical records, birth certificate(s), and three proofs of residency).

Here are the July and August lunch menus for the Town of Hoosick Summer Camp. (Lunch is included as part of your child's camp experience this year!) Please complete the order form and check the day(s) that you would like lunch provided for your child. Please complete an order form for each child you have attending camp.

Field Hockey Coaches, Coach Campbell and Coach St. Onge, are offering field hockey camps in town this summer! They will be running two camps: the Kindergarten-Grade 2 camp will be held from July 14-17, from 5-7 pm, and the Grades 3-10 camp will be offered from August 11-14, from 5-8 pm. Both camps will be held at the ice rink in town, and the cost for each session is $60. Please see the flyers/registration forms for more details. The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed tomorrow, June 7th, due to the services for Robert Bornt being held in the Armory.

Please note that the Rensselaer County Health Department's Rabies Clinic scheduled for this Saturday, June 7th, has been POSTPONED until further notice. A replacement date will be announced soon.

NEWS10 kicked off their "Your Town" series this morning, and the first stop on their list was Hoosick Falls! The Town of Hoosick had the 8:30 spot, and Town Supervisor Mark Surdam, Deputy Supervisor Eric Sheffer, and Recreation Director Ashley St. Onge spoke with the crew. Ashley highlighted what a successful season we had with the skating rink. The Town was so glad to be able to open the rink to the community after initially thinking the weather wouldn't cooperate. We offered 57+ sessions for community members to come out to the rink and enjoy free skating. Moving into the warm weather, we look forward to another great year of summer camp and swim lessons. The Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church has partnered with the Hoosick Falls Central School, as well as the Rensselaer County One Stop Career Center, the SUNY Apprenticeship Program, and the Capital Region Workforce Development Board to help sponsor this year’s Hoosick Falls Community Job Fair & Career Expo. May 14th, from 11am to 2pm, at the Hoosick Armory. This event is for students exploring a career path and job seekers who will have the opportunity to meet employers from New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts.
