Rensselaer County has partnered with local organizations to provide "Grab-N-Go" meals to all children in the county, ages 18 and younger. The Grafton Community Library and the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center are two locations offering "Grab-N-Go" meals this summer. Registration is required. There is no financial information required. You will receive 7 days of free breakfasts and lunches for each child you register. Pick up days are Mondays and Thursdays at either location. Here are the July and August lunch menus for the Town of Hoosick Summer Camp. (Lunch is included as part of your child's camp experience this year!) Field Hockey Coaches, Coach Campbell and Coach St. Onge, are offering field hockey camps in town this summer! They will be running two camps: the Kindergarten-Grade 2 camp will be held from July 14-17, from 5-7 pm, and the Grades 3-10 camp will be offered from August 11-14, from 5-8 pm. Both camps will be held at the ice rink in town, and the cost for each session is $60. Please see the flyers/registration forms for more details. NEWS10 kicked off their "Your Town" series this morning, and the first stop on their list was Hoosick Falls! The Town of Hoosick had the 8:30 spot, and Town Supervisor Mark Surdam, Deputy Supervisor Eric Sheffer, and Recreation Director Ashley St. Onge spoke with the crew. Ashley highlighted what a successful season we had with the skating rink. The Town was so glad to be able to open the rink to the community after initially thinking the weather wouldn't cooperate. We offered 57+ sessions for community members to come out to the rink and enjoy free skating. Moving into the warm weather, we look forward to another great year of summer camp and swim lessons.
