Join Us as We Remember. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation and the lives of so many Americans.

American Legion Post 40 invites our community to join us for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony as we honor the innocent lives lost, recognize the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, military members, and all those who answered the call in the days that followed. This ceremony is an opportunity for our community to come together in remembrance, reflection, and gratitude. As we mark this milestone anniversary, let us ensure the stories of courage, resilience, and unity are never forgotten. We encourage everyone—veterans, first responders, families, and community members of all ages—to attend and stand with us as we remember those we lost and honor those who continue to serve.

The Hoosick Area Community Participation Work Group (CPWG) is seeking residents, business owners, and community members interested in representing the community and participating in discussions related to PFOA cleanup and future water supply planning. What is Expected of Members? CPWG members are expected to attend monthly meetings, uphold the principles and standards of conduct outlined in the CPWG Bylaws, participate in discussions in a respectful and collaborative manner, and represent the interests and perspectives of the broader Hoosick community. Meetings are facilitated by The Paige Group, an independent third-party consulting firm specializing in stakeholder engagement.

How to Apply: Interested residents, business owners, community leaders, and other local stakeholders are invited to submit a one-page letter of interest that includes: your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and why you are interested in serving on the CPWG. Please list any topics or issues you are particularly interested in, as well as relevant experience or qualifications, and any potential conflicts of interest. Members are selected based on their interests and qualifications to help ensure broad representation of community needs and perspectives.
